Squirrels and birds of all kinds enjoy the majestic trees and the streams flowing through the estate. Baboons, whose ancestors in distant times shared the Waterberg Mountains with the first species of mankind, inhabit the surrounding mountains and regularly overnight in the cliffs of Leeupoort. In this area where ancestors of early man made their home and wildlife roamed freely, a vast conservancy has been created. Transfers available to Johannesburg International Airport and elsewhere in Gauteng. Malaria free. Climate: moderate. Childeren over the age of 14 welcome. The owner has striven to create a luxurious retreat amidst the abundant blessing of nature.

Our personal opinion

So I arrived as a guest booked under my Aunt's name. Kobus and Hanellie had no idea I was more than a guest - I was there for a site inspection! However, I was the one who was caught off-guard! They made me sit down and drink my refreshing drink - I was allowed to be still, I could hear the birds, it was my time out and I forgot to play Travel Agent - I could and did relax. I was pampered and it was great!

The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and unique - whatever your budget - the room complies. The food is delectable - not too rich but I must warn you to go hungry!!!!! Mmmmmm, ever course was so good that as I'm typing, my mouth waters. Go to be still, to relax, have massages, float in the pool and enjoy the Spa facilities. I went for a walk and saw Eland, Blesbuck, Impala Warthog and too many bird species to remember.

Leeuwenhof is a place to unwind and being only 90 minutes from Johannesburg makes it easily accessible!

Leeuwenhof ensures the relaxation of the body and mind. Day packages are available for those who would like to restore balance, with only a few hours to spare. Half-day to 4-day packages to de-stress the body and mind are available and will ensure a feeling of a long, relaxing holiday.

Unwind in the Spa bath, sauna, and Turkish bath or enjoy a body and facial treatment in the privacy of the treatment room overlooking the garden or under a canopy of trees with birdsong as background music.
