Spend some quiet hours reading at the pool or in the comfortable lounge with Satellite T.V., cappuccino/espresso machine constantly on-hand.
Partake of a drink from the well stocked bar and wander out onto the terrace to watch the magnificent sunsets.
In the chilly weather gather around the cosy fire and enjoy a glass of sherry and glhwein, or perhaps one of the fine wines from the region.
The lodge is perfectly positioned for watching the Southern Right whales who frolic and calf for most of the year along these shores, often in the company of dusky dolphins.
The West Coast is best known for its seasonal carpets of wild flowers from late July to September. Enjoy leisurely walks along the beautiful sandy beaches, taking care not to disturb the Black Oystercatchers who nest along the high water mark. The Oystercatcher Lodge is perfectly positioned for watching the Southern Right Whales who come in from the sub-Antartica to mate and calve, for most of the year along these shores. The 9-hole golf course is in walking distance of the lodge. Swiss and South African owners, Luc and Sue Christen have over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, and look forward to welcoming guests to their delightful guest lodge.
